Wedding cake
For my class we had to make a wedding cake. I Wanted to go for more of a simple look because thats who i am....not that simple though...
I had all my peices ready, i just had to put them all together. I doweled the bottom two layers after icing and covering them fondant. I put them all together and then wrapped them in ribbon.

I punched out hundreds of flowers and hand glued each one on. It took forever to place them exactly as i liked but it came out good.

The final Project!

Peanut butter and chocolate cake
This is the cake I made on a very snowy day. It was an amazing chocolate cake that turned out great! I made it from the Fannie Farmer Cook book (unknown edition). It was so moist and the perfect amount of chocolate. I then topped it with Peanut butter, butter cream. So it was peanut buttery but not overwhelming.

This was the finished product. The cake was super moist and still a bit warm when i cut into it so it turned a little crumbly but it was soo good!!

Apple pie
Apple pie is such a good soul food for me! I could eat a whole pie myself! I also made pinwheels with the left over dough.

Pinwheels:
- Roll dough out like you would a crust and spread a nice layer of butter on the dough.
- Then sprinkle with a heavy dose of cinnamon and sugar and then roll up into a log and cut into 1 inch pieces.
- Turn over so the spiral is showing and put in the oven with the pie and cook until they are golden brown on top. Should only be about 10 minutes.
Advanced pastry
These are roses made out of modeling chocolate
Its a lot harder than you would think because the heat of your hand makes the chocolate melt and become gooey
I also made a bear. Its okay to laugh. I was just experimenting with the chocolate. I'm still trying to get things right.

My Disney World adventures
This summer I had an internship at Disney World. Even though I'm a baking and pastry arts major, i signed up for 3 months of culinary with Walt Disney World. It was crazy!

I worked at a place called sunshine seasons. I worked usually 6 days a week at 8 hours a day. Sometimes more. Here I am at the wok station. We also has the salad station, the grill station, and the sandwich station. It was a lot of work but I learned a lot and made some mad awesome friends.
Plus I got to go into the parks for freeeeee.
What could be better?

My First Gingerbread House!
I have never made a gingerbread house before but i found it a lot of fun! It was also a bit challenging but i had a lot of different things i got to use!
I made a tree out of green twizzlers and glued it to an ice cream cone with royal icing. (my icing was a bit to thick) and the star on top is made from a starburst

We donated the houses to a homeless shelter. All the children got their own gingerbread house!

My royal icing really wasnt the best but i did what i could. We glued the houses together with caramelized sugar. it was solid as a rock!
The finished product! I thought it was cute. I didn't get to do all the things i wanted to because i ran out of time. but for my first time...i think i did pretty good!
